Marie-Josée Forget PT, MCPA 

Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, Certified Rost Therapist

MJ is a pioneer in Pelvic Health with 20 years of clinical experience treating both men and women who suffer from incontinence and pelvic pain.  She regularly attends international conferences in the field of Urology and Gynecology to stay current on all the newest research.  MJ enjoys public speaking and provides continuing education for physicians, nurse practitioners and physiotherapists.  She loves to mentor health professionals and is a preceptor for medical students with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.  MJ is an Instructor with www.pelvichealthsolutions.ca and is passionate about teaching pelvic health skills to physiotherapists and other medical professionals.  MJ was selected to speak on the topic of pelvic pain at the Combined Section Meeting of the APTA in 2015 with her teaching colleague, Carolyn Vandyken.

She has developed a teaching tool for physiotherapists to learn about the pelvic floor models.  These pelvic models can be purchased on www.totalpelvichealth.ca

Charles Pépin PT, Cert.MDT, MCPA

Credentialled McKenzie Therapist, Trigger Point Dry Needling

Charles received his Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from The University of Dalhousie in 1990.  He also has an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology.  He has pursued post-graduate studies in the field of ergonomics, industrial rehabilitation, manual therapy, acupuncture and dry needling.  

Charles is a certified McKenzie Physiotherapist and teaches back care/ergonomics to local companies and groups. He is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the Robin McKenzie Institute of Canada.

Charles is also involved in local community sports and has coached with Vision Volleyball.  He is an avid outdoorsman and loves to find new and interesting recipes, which he will gladly share with his clients!

 

Jody Luesby PT, BSc(Kin), MCPA

Physiotherapist, Trigger Point Dry Needling, Rost Therapist

Jody grew up in North Bay, a graduate of Ecole Secondaire Algonquin.  She received both her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and her Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Ottawa in 2003.

She has since pursued post-graduate training in manual therapy, McKenzie Therapy and acupuncture.  Jody is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

She has completed her Trigger Point Dry Needling courses and looks forward to treating your muscle aches and pains.  Jody just completed the Rost Therapy certification course and can provide treatment for women suffering from pelvic girdle pain during their pregnancy.

Jody is an avid volleyball player having played through high school and participating in the women’s volleyball league in North Bay.


Danny Gosselin M.E.S

Medical Exercise Specialist

Danny is native of North Bay, graduated from Chippewa S.S in 1992 and attended Nippissing University in 1993.  In 1994, he attended the University of Western Ontario, studying political science.  He played for the Western Mustangs for 3 years and the North Bay Bulldogs for 13 years.

Danny has recently become a Certified Medical Exercise Specialist, one of only 3 in Northern Ontario.  As an M.E.S, Danny works with all members of the Post-rehab community in the recovery of medical ailments.  He has also created the Fun Fit program designed for kids and teens. 

He has coached and volunteered for Special Olympics sports since 1987 and is currently coaching in their weightlifting program.  In 1998, he received an award from the Optimist club for Outstanding Community Leadership.

Danny has also worked as a sport conditioning coach, working with NHL players, basketball players, and volleyball players.  He is a certified trainer at the YMCA.  He is certified in both Powerlifting and Weightlifting, and is working on his provincial level certification for weightlifting.

Most recently, Danny has completed his N.C.C.P. level 3 in open sport and has dedicated his time to becoming an international level volleyball coach.  He is the co-founder of the Wildcat Volleyball Club program.  In 2002, he founded Gateway Volleyball Camp, named after Gateway Physiotherapy, the camp’s major sponsor.

 

Erinn Christie RMT

Massage Therapist

Erinn grew up in North Bay, graduating from West Ferris Secondary in 1997.  Following high school, she spent time travelling Europe and lived in Banff, exploring the mountains and enjoying the outdoor adventures they provided.

Erinn graduated from Sir Sandford Fleming College's Massage Therapy program in 2005, and has since been a RMT practicing in a variety of settings.  She began her work in Quebec working at an Osteopathic clinic and Scandanavian spa outside of Tremblant.  She has spent two years working in Revelstoke BC for Canadian Mountain Holidays, providing therapy and stretching programs for heli-skiers.  The majority of her practice has been in Physiotherapy clinics in North Bay.

Erinn loves yoga!  She spent 8 months studying yoga and receiving teacher training for Hatha Yoga at Yasodhara Ashram and yoga study center in Kootenay Bay, BC.  She teaches yoga at Canadore College, and also for the staff at Gateway Physiotherapy.  Erinn has worked with MJ to develop a yoga program for people in pain.

She believes we are all our own most powerful healers, and is honoured to be able to offer Massage Therapy to help in the healing process.
